Tom has been a pioneer in technical marketing and communication services for over 30 years. His broad experience base has earned his team a Technical Emmy Award for Digital Effects and additional awards and acknowledgements in various communications and web based disciplines. Tom has also published dozens of technical and marketing articles for companies and written two industry award-winning books.
Most recently, Tom has focused on Marketing Communications with Web Based Technologies and Web Reputation. Tom’s methodologies have worked with organizations to improve responsiveness to customers’ inquiries and issues. Clients have experienced up to a 50% improvement in Customer Service costs and up to a 98% improvement in costs of handling customer complaints.
Tom has held executive, marketing and technical positions with Fidelity National Financial, Grass Valley Group, Tektronix, Amdahl Corporation and Storage Technology. Tom was the founder of IP Video Systems (now a part of BARCO, Inc. of Brussels, Belgium), which focused on collaboration technologies. As part of the DeAnza College staff, Tom assembled a team that set up remote college educational systems with Steve Jobs at Apple Computer and Gene Amdahl of Amdahl corporation.
Tom has 4 patents in video collaboration and communications, and has led the effort of devising the communications channels used with various Universities and Government Agencies.
Tom serves on several boards as a marketing and technical advisor/member. Tom has a BS in Engineering with the University of Missouri, and instructed at the Katz School of Management at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
